Default Pakistan Wait On Trio

Pakistan selectors are awaiting reports on fast bowlers Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammad Asif and Umar Gul before naming their squad for next month's one-day series against Bangladesh.
Shoaib is facing a disciplinary inquiry for his comments against the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), which were found to be in violation of the board's code of conduct.
Asif, meanwhile, is recovering after undergoing elbow surgery in Sydney and Gul is recuperating from the back injury which kept him out of last year's Test series against India.
Both Asif and Gul will require fitness certificates from trainer David Dwyer to be eligible for selection when the squad is announced on Saturday.
Chief selector Salahuddin told The Dawn: "The selection committee will hold a meeting in Lahore on Saturday and it will first ask the PCB about the availability of players like Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammad Asif and Umar Gul before finalising the team."
Bangladesh will arrive in Pakistan on April 6 and will play five one-day matches and a Twenty20 international, with the first clash due to take place in Lahore on April 8.
The upcoming series has been arranged by the PCB after Australia postponed their tour to the country citing security concerns.
