Let’s assume you have a large .zip archive which have been password protected some considerable time ago. For example, the trouble may be that, although you think you can remember the words that you have used, you could forget if you have used spacer characters or could not remember if the words have been capitalized. You may have spent a half an hour typing a variety of combinations with no success. If your password was quite long, say 20 characters, a brute force attack would be taken forever.
