You can create a shortcut on your desktop that allows you to quickly shut down windows with a double click instead of having to go through the Start Menu
1. Right Click a blank area on your desktop. a menu appears. 2. Click New. 3. Click Shortcut. ( The Create Shortcut dialog box appears) 4.To have Windows shut down immediately whe you double click this area, click this area and type shutdown -s -t 00 ( Note: To have Windows countdown for a specific number of seconds before shutting down, type the number of seconds instead of 00 5. Type the name you want to display on your desktop. 6. click finish. The shortcut appears on your desktop displaying the name you specified. Double click the shortcut to quickly shutdown Windows. shutdown -s -t 00 - for Shutdown shutdown -r -t 00 - for Restart |
