it works for me im using vista and ym ver 8.1

when you edit the ymsgr.ini save it in your desktop and rename it ex. ymsgr1.ini,
then after saving it remove the original ymsgr.ini in the messenger folder.
after deleting rename first the one you save in your desktop with ymsgr.ini again and paste it in the folder. DONE hope it will help you

it changes it self everytime i use pshcho booter or any oder id makers but good thing to increase ur knowledge peacE

u see [App Title]

after [[ = ]] write ur name that u wanna be ur caption..!

this is what i have in it

u must find the ymsgr.ini file where u instaled ur Yahoo messenger..!!
for example mine here:
C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger
