Thank you so much l33t for your suggestion about turning the Account Control off while I registered 2 ocx files. Worked like a charm after several frustrating hours. I downloaded the 2 files, pasted them into System32, right clicked on each which gave me the option to register each one.
Thanks again! |

well friends!! if u are having a problem regarding the registration of OCX and DLL files in VIsta... u just have to follow these steps:
1. Copy the dll or ocx file u want to register, in the system32 folder. ( probably >> c:=>windows=>system32) 2. then goto start=>all programs=>accesories=>right click on command prompt => select run as administrator 3. on the pop up command prompt window.. type- regsvr32 filename.ocx or .dll and hot enter.. u will be succeded. AND ENJOY THE VARIOUS PROGRAMS. |

Right click on the file ( .OCX or .DLL ), choose "Open With" then choose a program or Browse, then choose "Open With" again , now "Select a Program from a List" click "OK" Now click "Browse" now useing the dropdown window Choose your "C" Drive , then Click on your "Windows" Folder, now click on your "System 32" Folder now find Regsvr32 ( Click this once to Highlight it } then click OK and the file should register.

downloading yahoo tools n stuff...most of them require you to save dll n ocx files in your system32
one easy way to reg. it is by using regsvr32 in your system32 so just copy and paste it in your desktop..... * DRAG THE FILES AND DROP IT IN REGSVR32 AND YOUR DONE! ![]() |

Not quite sure if this is where to post it but here goes. I just reformated my pc, have tried to use some of my old files and they are missing files. I have dl the files, put them in system 32, used a registry tools etc and nothing will register the file for me, I have never had this problem before and I'm not sure how to fix it. Any help on this matter would be great. Thanks in advance.
