[flag=us] [b]HERE are the steps:-
1---first, download
[Only registered users can see links. ]
2---UNZIP to c:\windows\system32

3---Rename your old tssoft32.acm to tssoft32OLD.acm

4--- Rename the new unzipped file tssoft32[Codec-Download.de].acm to tssoft32.acm

5---Check whether this tssoft32.acm shows up in device manager->sounds-videos-codec->audio codecs->>properties --if not then you have problem with vista because it should work on every vista program.

6---Now remove your old yahoo messenger setup with COMPLETE remove option (WARNING:REMOVE it totally from Set Program Access and Defaults)

7---Download and /or INSTALL the ymsgr7us.exe from [Only registered users can see links. ] this messenger will work

8---what next?you have gotta voice in you're yahoo messenger in vista

[How To] Obtain Voice Chat In Windows Vista
It would seem a lot of Vista users are having an issue getting voice working in messenger

This can be caused by a couple of factors

1. Don't have the latest Yahoo! Messenger
2. Don't have the DSP Group truspeech codec installed
3. Don't have a mic plugged in (yes you need to)
4. UAC is blocking it

Please note this fix is for Y! Messenger not third party chat clients

Well i'll try to explain the motion needed to install it correctly.

Download the following two files to your Desktop

Yahoo! have recently released 9.0 Beta that you can try also, link below !!

[Only registered users can see links. ]

Right Click ymsgr810_421_us.exe on your desktop
Select Run As Administrator like pic below..

If you don't see that option when you right click do the following..

Right Click ymsgr810_421_us.exe on your desktop
Select Properties
Select Compatability tab
Tick Run this program As Administrator like pic below..
Press Apply then ok

Follow the install and pick yes to give Messenger full access while installing.

Do the same process above for the tsp_codec_install.exe on your desktop

Then reboot, plug in your mic and start yahoo messenger and join chat.

Voice should work fine.

bro is this also applicable in version 8.1? plss let me know i dont have voice and so with the cam using the OS of vista yahoo messenger version 8.1.

A Few Tips onHow to Install True Speech Codec on to Get Yahoo! Voice working

1. Open Windows Explore goto C:/Windows/System32 and Rename tssoft32.acm to tssoft32OLD.acm

2. Click Here to Download tssoft32.acm save in C:/Windows/System32 folder

3. In Control Panel, go to Add Hardware.

4. Click Next and after it searches choose Yes, I have already connected the hardware Click Next.

5. Scroll down to the bottom of the Installed harware list and choose Add a new hardware device Click Next.

6. Choose Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced) Click Next.

7. Choose Sound, video and game controllers from the Common hardware types list. Click Next.

8. Click on the Have Disk button.

9. Click Browse

10. Navigate to the C:/Windows/System32 folder

11. Choose $winnt$.inf Click Ok. (if you cant find that file try mmdriver.inf )

12. Click Continue Anyway if you get a warning box.

13. Select DSP Group TrueSpeech Audio CODEC from the list. Click Next.

14. Click Next again to install.

15. Restart if necessary.
16. Done! Voice should now work if you followed the steps correctly...

$winnt$.inf <--- bro vit.. still didnt work with me i tried several procedure that file still missing is there any way to stall it? i got vista home premium

bro i know many users of vista cant have voice in yahoo now yahoo say along time ago that goo to release a version for vista but nouthing...so if you cant put voice and you have lok in the forum of the page i cant help you i have see other solution in some place but i cant remmenber if i find it i post

thanks bro, i've been in to many forums just because of this one. and some rumors said that yahoo will lounge a proggy for vista itself this summer but sad to say summer ends in my place but havent seen one yet.. yes bro still have the patience to wait for that or incase i can find it somewhere else too and work fine with me.. i'll post it too...
