This is simply the fact Yahaven uses emotedata 4 to send music posts to chat, emotedata 4,5,6 are reserved and using 4 lets client authors put an option to block music posts, Deepthawt has not and it shows that string variant error, it's completely harmless.

Turn off debug text to not see it or block user posting it!

This is beyond YahELites capabilities to fix as this is serverside and this is when yahoo are changing things at the server level or making a big change. As of this posting it is the current server changes and the sp1 and ac4 servers that are causing these "moments of downtime".

Yahoo chat is not available for any client official or unoffical when this happens.

And what about this one?

When you click <Variant> what info does it give?
It's either your buddlist parsing been broken at a certain id or your ignore list

Looks like again part of the list isn't been handled if yahoo changed something.
It's up to deepthawt to have yahelite handle those!

Go to Options

Then to Replacements

In Patterns list scroll down to <special1>

Click it to highlight it till it shows <special1> in pattern textbox.

Change <special1> in that box to <ignore!>

Tick the option Only if pattern is not part of another word

You should see <ignore!> now appear on the list of macros to left.

Highlight it and edit your message to the right box.

You can use the following macros in it.

%ASK% Pops up a question box and lets you type in something.
%BEAT% Current internet .beat time
%BUDS% Names of your friends in the room.
%CSRV% Your current chat server
%DATE% Current date
%DEST% Destination room name.
%HOST% Your current IP address.
%HTTP% Your current Web server address.
%ICNT% Number of people on ignore.
%IDAY% Number of days for the last ignore.
%IUSR% Name of the person you just ignored.
%LCNT% Number of ignored people in the room.
%LUSR% Names of all the ignored people in the room.
%LIST% Names of all the people in the room.
%NAME% Your name.
%ONTM% How long this PC has been on.
%PROTO% Yahoo protocol type
%PUSH% Saves the current font attributes.
%POP% Restores the previously saved font attributes.
%PREV% Previous room name.
%RCNT% Number of people in the room
%ROOM% Current room name.
%TIME% Current time
%time% Current time
%UPTM% How long you have been online
%USER% The selected name in the user list.
%VER% Your yahelite version number
%WHOM% Name of the person you are following.
%YHLT% The YahELite home page address.

ok i could log into yahelite and also go in a chat room yesterday but today i tried logging into chat my id gets logged in but after that i get a message in the yahelite window "*** YahELite detected a <variant> packet # 1 PrepRoom" and no captcha shows up ,i am also using supervox 1.44 gold and to get the captcha i had to install the captcha viewer which required installation of WinPcap_4_0_2.exe file ,i also reinstalled yahelite but the problem still exists .. can anyone suggest a solution ??????

Probably the room you are trying to enter is an encoding room and it needs the key?

i have tried a lot of rooms but everytime i get the same error message ,but another id on another client(ymlite ,supervox) logs into chat without any problem ..
