fellow booter..try to clean your registry first w/ a decent registry cleaner prog before reinstalling yahelite..might work for you as well..i got the same prob a couple of days ago and this method made my yahelite workin fine again..

downloaded ,installed ,reinstalled yahelite still no luck !!

Ok, this is what ya do.... Listen closely!!!! Unistall yahelite in the add and remove programs. Once you have uninstalled it, delete any left behind files/folders. There will be a folder in the directory. DELETE IT!

C:\Program Files\YahELite

After that go to the prefetch folder, under the WINDOWS directory. Now go open that folder, and delete anything assoiciated with Yahelite, or you can delete all files in that FOLDER...

C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch

After that, I would suggest you run a program called CCLEANER, search for it on this site, cause i seen it updated today here, or go search ccleaner on a major SEARCH engine, that rhymes with Foogle.... Install, and run all three scans on the program; Windows, Applications and Registry...

Now reboot. Once you're back online, Reinstall Yahelite. If that dont work, you've stumped me... Goodluck booter!

I already have CCleaner installed along with it i have registry first aid platinum ,and now recently installed registery mechanic (all latest updated versions ) ,and the last time i installed yahelite i did do all that u have mentioned here ,that is the exact procedure i adapt for uninstalling any software .I ran both the registry scans and restarted my PC twice once before the install and once after the install (of yahelite)... stilll it gave me that stupid error ...

This is when yahoo! have put the servers into maintenance mode
YahELite has no power over this and you must wait it out while Yahoo! do it
When Yahoo! have finished the error will be no longer and chat will return
NOTE: If the update by yahoo is a big one, YahELite may need an update to function further.

This is from yahelite forum posted by Dermot...... n to solve it... o well chk ur firewall try log in diff server using diff port from more option menu in login window.... try diff log in style such as normal chat, pager .... try 'em out it might help peace

And just like that it stared running again ,I think what J said was the reason for the error message ,thanks to all who tried to help !!

YahELite does not use the Windows Registry
Cleaning it will not effect YahELite
All settings for YahELite are contained in INI configuration files
These files are stored in C:\WINDOWS or Local folder if run from Thumbdrive
If you want to reset YahELite you have two options..

1: On login panel , click more options and tick "Erase personal info on exit"

2: Delete YAHELITE.ini in C:\WINDOWS

These two will reset YahELite
