There are reasons why this is done like that...

Yacscom.dll 1.0.0.50 is encrypted, only messenger can use it.
This is why YahVox can't show the voice chatters list but still hear voice.
Same with ywcvwr.dll versioning

So YahELite and any client must use these versions.

Everytime you install messenger you're undoing what YCabby or YCabby2 does

9.0.0.1389 installs the DSP Truspeech codec itself differently

If you're changing back and forth with different messenger builds you're marring YahELite

The Cab file urls are even older and from the time of the Java chat client.

Remember to give YahVox and YahSee and YahSho full access past your firewall to connect proper.

I already assumed that Yahvox, YahSee, and YahSho were on my list of Exceptions, but weren't. Like you said, whenever I change my Messenger it effects and "marries" my Yahelite, so I changed everything back where the yacscom.dll is 1.0.0.45, well 1.0.0.48 b/c of Ycabby2. I could have changed the third URL of Ycabby to download the CABS, but YahVox is running smooth now anyway . Does the new Messenger install the DSP Truespeech Codec even though I'm running XP Home? I thought it was for Vista only.

Actually when I went to check voice on Messenger I received this error: This computer does not support the required uncompressed audio format. [Only registered users can see links. ] After a reboot of the PC, everything was back to normal. All my .ocx and .dll were registered. The problem with Yahsho was that my webcam wasn't properly plugged in of all things. The same problem why Messenger crashes, it didn't pick up that it's connected, even though I hear the beep when a USB device is connected, and I have to unplug and replug the device again. I had Yahvox working after the reboot, but no YahSho, so I ran Ycabby again without having anything open, and it worked.

I agree... u outlined a good point here.... i got a 5.1 channel Sound blaster audigy sound card... bt my microphone uses Logitech Mic(Communicate STX) which comes with my Logitech webcam... i cant use my mic without putting my setting to that.... so no matter am using my cam...i hv to pluged it in all the time only for the sake of the voice

can somebody help me, how can i remove the update for good? because every time i start yahelite, the autoupdate is still there even if i remove it permanently as the prompt says, but it keeps coming back.

To disable the auto update.. on the menu up the top, click info>>then update.. down the bottom of that box you will see you can uncheck the box to automatically check for updates.
